Snowsport for Sheffield
Snowsport for Sheffield was a working group of professional individuals; with a passion to see the resurgence of Sheffield as the innovating and leading centre for snowsport in the UK.

Snowsport for Sheffield was born out of the success of the British team at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Sochi was Team GB's most successful Winter Olympics (at the time) with five medals won over the course of the competition.
With no less than three competitors James Woods, Dom Harrington, and Katie Summerhayes all considered locals to the slope. It is also claimed that `over half of the freestyle skiing team` trained there at some point in time.
After the Winter Games a group of three working professionals (myself included) met at a Sheffield pub the campaign was born.
At one point the facebook group had over 16,000 views.
